New First Thursday Location

City Tap Penn Quarter - First Thursday

Beginning Thursday, March 5, 2026, our DC Alumni Club’s First Thursday gathering (6 PM to 8 PM) will be held at City Tap House Penn Quarter, located at 901 9th St NW, Washington, DC 20001.

While TJ Stone’s in Old Town Alexandria has treated us very well over the past few years, we believe this new location will create greater opportunity for Phis in the District and nearby parts of Maryland to join us more easily. City Tap House is conveniently located just a couple of blocks from Metro Center, serving the Blue, Orange, Red, and Silver Lines, and a couple of blocks from Mt. Vernon Square on the Green and Yellow Lines.

For those driving in, nearby parking options include:

  • SP+ Parking – 930 H St NW
  • SP+ Parking – 950 K St NW

We are excited to gather at this new location moving forward and look forward to connecting with DC-area Phis each First Thursday.

A special thank you to Brother Alex Williams (VA Lambda, George Mason University) for tracking down and coordinating this new venue for us.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I hope to see you on March 5th.

Yours in the Bond,
Henry

Phi Delt Bowling Night

Phi Delt Bowling NightThe members of the DC Alpha Colony of Phi Delta Theta at George Washington University celebrated the end of their first semester by hosting a “Phi Delt Bowling Night” at the Fort Myer Bowling Center in Arlington, VA on Friday, April 28, 2017.

The event was a perfect opportunity for the colony and potential new members to meet and establish strong relationships with the local area Phi Delt alumni community.

If you would like to learn more about future DC Alpha colony events, please contact Dennis Constanza, Alumni Chairman, DC Alpha Colony of Phi Delta Theta.

Phi Delt DC Summer Reception

Phi Delta Theta Summer Reception Washington DC August 2016

On August 10, 2016, approximately 35 Phi Delts gathered for a casual summer reception hosted by local area alumni.  Over two dozen different chapters were represented.

Many thanks to all who attended and special appreciation to the eight Phis from Gettysburg College (Pennsylvania Beta) who hosted the event in their Washington, DC home.
